About projects
Since 2018, Serik Tolbassy has served as a trustee of the IQanat Foundation for the Turkistan Region, making a significant contribution to the development of education in rural areas of Kazakhstan.
IQanat is a large-scale social and charitable educational initiative that spans 166 districts across the country. It focuses on supporting schoolchildren and teachers from rural areas, with particular attention given to children from socially vulnerable backgrounds — providing them with new opportunities for learning, growth, and self-realization.
The main goal of the program is to prepare talented rural students for admission to top universities in Kazakhstan and abroad through fully funded scholarships. This helps young people build a strong educational foundation and gain a launchpad for a successful future.
The Serik Tolbassy Foundation has been providing comprehensive support to rural students in the Turkistan Region as part of IQanat’s projects for more than six years. Thanks to this support:
Hundreds of students have participated in the national IQanat Olympiad and attended educational camps;
Teachers and mentors have gained access to modern teaching programs and innovative methodologies;
Children have been able to unlock their potential, broaden their horizons, and move beyond the limited opportunities of rural schools.
