In March 2020, when the country faced an unprecedented challenge — the COVID-19 pandemic and the declaration of a state of emergency — the Serik Tolbasy Foundation promptly responded to the urgent needs of the healthcare system.
Understanding the critical importance of rapid action and support for medical institutions, the Foundation allocated 25 million tenge to implement immediate measures to combat the spread of the virus. These funds were used to purchase essential equipment, personal protective gear for medical personnel, antiseptics, rapid tests, medications, and other vital supplies for hospitals and clinics.
“We understood that in such a moment, it was crucial to act swiftly and precisely. The healthcare system was in need of support, and as a foundation centered on human care, we saw it as our duty to contribute,”
said a representative of the foundation.
This funding helped ensure the safety of frontline doctors and improved conditions for treating patients during a time when healthcare resources were under immense pressure.
“Thanks to the Foundation, we were able to urgently purchase PPE for our staff and improve sanitary procedures in our wards. It was a truly valuable contribution,”
shared one of the clinic directors who received support.
